During April of 2013 I went on a three day trip to Matlock, Derbyshire which is north of England. It is approximately an hour drive from Manchester. I was desperately yearning for a getaway from the city life of London and so I went and visited my family friends there. It only took two and a half hour train ride from London St. Pancras International to Matlock station. The trip was a relaxing one and I was absolutely in love with the countryside and smell the country air I definitely was able to forget about the essays I needed to write and de-stress! There were lots of mountains and hills to climb and lots of wildlife to see. I was lucky enough to see the sun (which is rare in England) during my stay there and for some lovely shots. If you ever fancy a typical British country side experience, I'd say Matlock, Derbyshire is the place to go. It is very near Peak district National Park too. However visiting the place during April to August (Summer season) is advised because it could get quite cold and snowy in the winter.
