​Cambodia, despite the recent history of political upheaval and mass massacre tragedy of many under the rule of Pol Pot, was a place flourished with arts. Most of the artworks were dedicated for religious practices. Buddhism was and is still a prominent religion in Cambodia and there are many undergoing restorations of temples throughout the country.
